Kind Baking Company is a small batch bakery located in Roanoke, Virginia. Kind focuses on sourcing quality ingredients from local farmers and businesses. Kind’s mission is to carry on the tradition of homemade baked goods and the moments they bring us, all while reducing food waste and educating others on being a conscious consumer.

Carrying On TRADITIONS

Growing up, walking in my grandma’s house, you were instantly greeted with the smell of a freshly baked cake. Baking was her favorite thing because she could share a piece with anyone who stopped by to visit. 

Around the holidays, I would watch her bake all day then we would drive around delivering cakes to special friends. I always remember thinking that was such a thoughtful gift as so much time, effort and love went into each cake. 

She is the reason for this bakery! I hope to share her favorite recipes as well as many other family recipes, I have been given over the years. The stories behind these recipes are as special as the women who made them!

 Where to find kind:

Kind Baking Company is based in the Wasena Neighborhood at 1107 Main Street SW, Roanoke, VA 24015.

You can find us Friday mornings from 7:00am - 12:00pm, Saturday mornings from 8:00am - 2:00pm, and at various markets and pop events around the Roanoke Valley.

We got the coffee cake and the German Chocolate cake. I haven’t tried the coffee cake yet, but the German Chocolate was absolutely divine. Highly recommend!! Bryn was so gracious and hand-delivered the cake to our house. I will absolutely be ordering more.
